Duties and Responsibilities:

The Land Use Administrator is responsible for the current and future land uses in all unincorporated areas of Des Moines County. Every three to five years the zoning commission reviews the Comprehensive Plan that was written for Des Moines County. They will decide if there are any modifications to the plan, once they review the plan they send it to the Board of Supervisors for approval. This plan is what the Land Use Administrator uses to determine the following for Des Moines County:
